The Memorial is an invitational tournament and it is also known as “Jack’s Tournament” for Jack Nicklaus. Many top golfers will be in the field this week but because it is an invitational tournament the field will be smaller at 120 golfers and there still will be a cut line so it becomes even more important to get 6/6 players to make the cut for your DFS lineups.

Muirfield Village is a fairly wide course so hitting the fairways isn’t as hard as other courses on the PGA Tour but missing the fairway can do a player in with deep rough and lots of bunkers to navigate through. Instead of focussing on Driving Accuracy, check out the Good Drive Percentage stats for players since many will hit iron off the tee or 3 wood to avoid issues. Trying to find the putting green at a high rate is the goal for the week at Muirfield Village as many PGA players classify it as a second shot course.

Some players will club down to avoid missing the fairways but for those that do you may want to keep an eye on the Scrambling stats. Guys will either be trying to get out of the rough or scrambling around the greens to get a birdie or even par try.

The greens at Muirfield are also usually really fast with some of the largest undulations which have been compared to the greens at Augusta. There may be a load of two putts so looking at Putting Inside 10 feet is a stat to keep an eye on. With the greens having speed and difficulty, the approach game will be a key factor for the week so Greens in Regulation will also be high on your radar in looking for key sleepers for the Memorial. In the last bunch of years, guys that won the Memorial ranked near the top or were at the top of the week in Greens in Regulation (GIR) stats.
