2020 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Sleepers Picks
The PGA Tour flies back across to the US to the west coast for the Shriners Hospital for Children’s Open. Played at the TPC Summerlin course in Las Vegas Nevada the Shriners Open has been played at TPC Summerlin since 2004 and is one of the easiest courses on the PGA Tour.
The Shriners also opens up fantasy golf lineups to some of the newer players on the PGA Tour like the Korn Ferry Tour graduates that didn’t get to play much to start the season. The opportunity for sleeper picks is more wide open for the Shriners Open tournament.

Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Course
TPC Summerlin
The TPC Summerlin isn’t a terribly long course at just over 7200 yards but it plays even shorter in the humidity of the Nevada desert and because the course sits about 2700 feet above sea level. Even short hitters hit it farther this week so targeting players with top driving distance isn’t the stat to focus on. The greens are big targets so look for golfers with high percentages in GIR (the last 10 winners averaged about 82% GIR) but more importantly look at the par 4 scoring stats of all the sleepers you are targeting. Most of the winners in the history of the Shriners were in the top 5 par four scoring for the week.
Other stats to look at is par 5 scoring which are very reachable holes for eagle and birdie tries and look for high putting percentages to take advantage of the long birdie or eagle putts.
Remember, we are back to standard tournaments for a bit which means back to finding players to make the cut and play throughout the weekend to keep you scoring all weekend long.
