2021 3M Open Sleeper Picks

3M Open Sleeper PicksThe 3M Open is a newer event on the PGA Tour having it's first tournament in 2019. Played at the TPC Twin cities course in Blaine Minnesota you will have to use your skills to find sleeper picks for the 3M Open since most of the PGA Tour has never seen the course.

That being said, if you are looking for an edge and want to look at sleeper picks for the 3M Open you may want to check out some of the older guys that have played on the seniors tour recently as this was before the 3M Championship and some of the "experienced" tour players may have played the TPC course already.

Sal at GolfStats was at the TPC course last year walking around and watching the players practice. This year there will again be no fans at this tournament but he has more experience than most that give out golf picks. He still will have his weekly write up and he will give his rundown of fantasy golf and betting picks which will also include sleeper picks for the 3M Open. If you haven't joined the site yet why not start with this week’s tournament and get a real expert's opinion on who the favorites to win are and who the sleepers are for the 3M Open.

3M Open Golf Course

TPC Twin Cities par 71 – 7,468 yards

The TPC Twin Cities has been ranked by Golf Digest magazine as one of the top 20 golf courses in Minnesota. The golf course was designed by the legend of golf Arnold Palmer as a par 72 – 7164 yard course along with PGA TOUR player consultant and Minnesota native Tom Lehman. The TPC Twin Cities features bentgrass on the tees, fairways and greens and has 27 water hazards spread through the course. The course is heavily tree lined with old spruce, oak and pines trees at every hole.

Although the course was designed as a 72 -7164 it will play longer for the 3M Open as a Par 71 7468 yard course to offer up a bit more of a challenge for players.

Par 4 scoring will be key this week as there will be one less par 5 to play and this being a middle of the road in length course you will want guys that are comfortable scoring on par 4’s.

Greens in Regulation is another key stat to look at when trying to pick a sleeper pick this week since guys will be unfamiliar with the course and finding the green in two will be a strong necessity to succeed this week.

I would also look at Scrambling too since guys are going to land in the trees and find the water and being able to grind out a par when trouble hits will be important.

Last year showed that there will be scoring on this course so expect player to score low throughout the week.
