2020 Sanderson Farms Championship Sleeper Picks and Preview
For years the Sanderson Farms Championship was an alternate event on the PGA Tour playing opposite major tournaments, WGC events and other big tourneys. Finally in 2019 it became a full PGA Tour stop with a full allotment of 500 FedEx Cup points and no tournament to compete against.
Although the status was an upgrade, the field has and will remain a weaker one with a handful of bigger names playing and mostly rookies and veterans populating the Sanderson Farms Championship field.
Nevertheless, there are still fantasy games available and bets that can be won but it means that you will have to do a bit more research when making your fantasy or betting picks this week.

2020 Sanderson Farms Championship Tourney Preview
Like all other tournaments lately, the will be no fans at the 2020 Sanderson Farms Championship which by now seems to be the new normal. The field will once again be a weaker field with some golfers scaling back their tournaments and some heading to the US west coast for three bigger money PGA tournaments. Some of the names already committed to playing this week are: Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Louis Oosthuizen, Jason Dufner and Charl Schwartzel. If you are going to be betting on the Sanderson Farms tourney then the payouts are better as there will be no clear favorite to win this week. For fantasy golf players, look for guys that have played the tournament before and have a solid history of good finishes. Also lean on guys who are playing really well leading up to this week.
Fantasy golf tournaments don't end for weak field tournaments and you can take advantage of fantasy players that have less knowledge than you and play in our affiliate partner's contest, the DraftKings PGA Birdie Contest. If you know your golf but are still new and never played fantasy golf at DraftKings then sign up using our link and you will get a FREE Contest Ticket credited to your account as a Promo Bonus when you make your first deposit of $5 or more.

Sanderson Farms Championship Fantasy Golf Picks
Louis Oosthuizen - Oosthuizen is easily the best golfer in this week’s field and should be the favorite to win. You could use him as an anchor for all your fantasy golf lineups just know that just because he is the favorite, doesn’t make him a lock to win. He should be a safe bet to at the very least make the cut this week but consider him as you would any other heavy favorite in a golf tournament.
Doc Redman - Redman is one of our 2021 PGA Tour Sleeper Picks for the year and he’s already started the season off well with a 3rd place finish at the Safeway Open two weeks ago. In a weak tournament field like this one, Redman should be looked at more as a fantasy golf favorite than a sleeper for the year.
2020 Sanderson Farms Championship Sleeper Picks
Patrick Rodgers - Rodgers is 3-3 in cuts made at the Sanderson Farms Championship including two Top 20’s at the Jackson CC course. He has started the new PGA Tour season off well and just finished with a T11 at the Corales Puntacana. He makes a nice low cost sleeper pick for DFS lineups this week at both FanDuel or DraftKings.
Sam Burns - Burns is also 3-3 lifetime at the Sanderson Farms tourney but he finished in 3rd place two years ago. Burns also has started the new season off well with a T7 and a 28th place finish just this past week. I like Burns to be a sleeper pick throughout the PGA Tour season and this would be a great tournament for him to break out in.
