Who Will Win the 2020 Masters Tournament?

Patrick Cantlay – (Odds to Win - 25-1) – Cantlay may be peaking at just the right time coming off a win two weeks ago. He finished in 9th the last time through Georgia and should be looked at as a favorite to win this week. I do expect to see him up at the top of the leaderboard and would not be shocked if he wins. At least for DFS lineups at DraftKings you need to make some with him in there if you want a shot at the $1 Million this week.

Rory McIlroy – (Odds to Win - 11-1) – Oh Rory…you keep breaking my bets every year at the Masters. I do like Rory and still believe that he will win a green jacket one day to complete the career slam but I don’t think he will pull it off this year…But he has the game to do it. Up until last year’s T21 he had five straight Top 10 finishes at Augusta and he is still one of the best golfers in the world. His game has scuffled a bit since the return of golf and although he seems to be coming back, proceed with caution if you are looking to bet on him to win this week.

Jon Rahm – (Odds to Win - 11-1) – Not the hot head he used to be and comes into this week as the #2 golfer in the world. He has two straight Top 10’s at Augusta and was in the mix to win in each of the last two majors. Rahm is poised to win a major and the Masters is one that would suit his game pretty well.

Bryson DeChambeau – (Odds to Win - 8-1) –  You can’t look at the history of DeChambeau because he is now a completely different golfer. Having come back from the Covid break all buffed up Bryson basically mashes the golf ball around the course and still have a good enough short game to win. He has seven Top 10 finishes since June and two wins…one of them being the US Open where he dominated the field. He has played Augusta well before and could simply overpower the course and eagle all the par 5’s he sees this week. He should definitely be on your radar if you are making a bet on him at Intertops.

Xander Schauffele – (Odds to Win - 14-1) - We liked Schauffele last year and he finished in 2nd. He probably wins the Masters if he doesn’t shoot a 73 on day 1 last year. Xander is dialed in right now and has finished in the Top 10 in both the majors this year and has only one finish outside of the Top 25 since the restart in June. Schauffele checks a lot of boxes this week heading into the Masters and is a definite contender to win his first career major.

Dustin Johnson – (Odds to Win - 12-1) - I like DJ to win the Masters a lot and there is nothing that I can write here that can make me change my mind. He’s finished in the Top 10 at Augusta his last four trips there. He finished in 6th at the US Open and 2nd at the PGA Championship and won the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup…all in the last 3 months. So why is he not my pick to win the 2020 Masters? Because he is the number one golfer in the world and if you read our US Masters Betting Tips Page you will learn that no #1 golfer in the world since 2002 (Tiger Woods) has won the Masters. Is that enough to keep you from picking him to win? That’s your call, but I have chosen….

And the winner of the 2020 Masters Tournament is…

Justin ThomasJustin Thomas – (Odds to Win - 12-1) – This was tough! The golfers above I probably really like 3 of them to win this week but after looking everything over Justin Thomas is the guy I like the most to put on a new green jacket. Already a majors winner, he has improved each year he’s played at Augusta finishing in 12th last time. His first 3 events this year have been results of T8 – T12 - T2 and he seems to be playing with a chip on his shoulder as if he’s not one of the best golfers in the world even though he’s ranked #3. This is a bit of a gut pick to win based on how he’s been playing the last few months but I am happily going to put some cash down on him at Intertops to win the 2020 Masters Tournament.
