Top Fantasy Golf Picks for the Masters

Dustin Johnson – The number one golfer in the world and the defending champion at the Masters is all that needs to be said as to why he is a favorite to win this week. Tough to repeat at Augusta but you will see his name up on the leaderboard through this week.

Bryson DeChambeau – Full disclosure, I don’t think that Bryson will win this week but I do think that he will make it very interesting to watch. DeChambeau has been a beast since golf returned last year but only finished in 34th at the Masters last year. Although he will shorten the course quite a bit, if his putting fails him he won’t be near the Top 10.

Justin Thomas – T39 - T22- T17 - T12 – 4…these are Thomas’ 5 finishes at Augusta with the 4th place finish being in 2020. He has improved each year at Augusta and one might argue that means that he will finish in the Top 3…if not win. He just won the PLAYERS Championship a month ago and will be a threat to win this week once again.

Rory McIlroy – Rory has finished in the Top 10 at the Masters 6 out of the last 7 years now. He needs a green jacket to win the career slam and I do believe that this is a tournament the he will eventually win in his career. Is this the year that he finally wins? If you believe it is, you can get decent odds of 14-1 this week for him which is pretty good for a guy that is almost a guaranteed Top 5 finish.

Webb Simpson – Simpson has arguably been one of the more consistent golfers on the PGA Tour the last couple of years and prior to the shut down due to Covid last year he was one of the favorites leading up to the April Masters. When golf returned he did continue his strong play and finished in 10th in the fall Masters tournament. Because of his quiet demeanor he isn’t talked about much but he should still be considered a favorite to win this week.

Sungjae Im – Although he had a good year in his rookie season, Im turned some heads finishing in 2nd in his first appearance at Augusta. A no-nonsense golfer who just goes out there and plays, his demeanor works well for a tournament like the Masters where there are so many distractions and chances for things to go wrong. Guys that play well at Augusta just shoot a solid game through four rounds and then at the end find themselves on the leaderboard…Im is a guy like that!

Patrick Cantlay – Cantlay has played some really great golf this year and probably could have won 1 or 2 more tournaments this year but for a few bad breaks. I like him to make a run this week at Augusta and winning the tournament shouldn’t be out of the question.
